Overview
Russell LDP secured full planning permission from Cheshire West and Chester Council for up to 103 new homes across the 17 acres of land.
The site was identified as part of a wider area known for its Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Nature reserves located on the doorstep of the site were known as SSSIs, with this particular parcel of brownfield land previously used for industrial warehousing and, in part, as a historic salt mine.
Russell LDP undertook detailed investigations into the ground and created a 'standoff zone' to be respected, a designated green area of space where no activity takes place. Following positive discussions with Cheshire West and Chester Council, Russell LDP developed a strong strategy to secure full planning permission to bring forward this derelict brownfield land.
As part of the Section 106 agreement to bring development forward, contributions will be made towards education, health facilities, open space and sports.
Russell Homes completed the development at New Warrington Road, bringing forward Brook View - A completed, highly sustainable development of 103 homes.
